A collection of famous Japanese landscape prints, this book features work from great artists such as Hiroshige and Hokusai. Landscape art did not become popular in Japan until the 1800s, when western influence began to bleed into Japanese work via the Dutch traders who came to Japan. Landscape art was one of the first places that Japanese artists began to incoporate the western ideas of perspective into their work.
