Keramic art of Japan

Keramic 1.jpg

Not all artwork is printed. Japan has a long history of artistic pottery, and the ceramics presented here are good examples of using pottery as a way to display representations of nature. Patterns are used to frame images more reminiscent of traditional artworks. Glazes and inlays are used to bring images to life, while making the pottery more attractive and in some cases, seal it against the elements.
